The SIMM Mechanical Platform is open for any mechanical characterization from liquid to solid materials.
This platform is equipped with rheometers, dynamic mechanical analyzers, tensile devices and several prototypes unique to the laboratory. Shared with the Institut des Matériaux de Paris Centre, it is accessible to the academic and industrial scientific research community in the framework of collaborative projects or expertises.
The diversity of our equipment enables us to characterize a very wide variety of materials in soft matter, ranging from viscoelastic fluids to very stiff polymer glasses and including polymer gels, yield stress fluids, colloidal supsensions and pastes, soft adhesives, elastomers etc..
